“It is high time that we realized that it is pointless to praise
the light and preach it if nobody can see it. It is much more
needful to preach the art of seeing.”
Carl Jung
If I ever wanted to be a popular spiritual teacher, I would have to totally overhaul both my message and packaging in order to give the people what they want. To be successful and popular, I would have to craft a message that people could buy into without the muss of thinking or fuss of progress.
“The fact that you believe you possess free will proves that you do!” I would exclaim.
“We find what we seek when we stop looking!” I would exclaim.
“You’re already enlightened,” I would exclaim, “just stop pretending you’re not!” (I think people really get a kick out of that one.)
