“And so long as you haven’t experienced this,
to die and so to grow, you are only a
troubled guest on a dark earth.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

A seed is a plant in its embryonic stage, protected by a shell. It’s alive and intelligent and aware even when it looks like it’s not, but until it transitions out of the shell and begins its growth stage, it’s really just a state of stored potential. The same is true of the Human Child, but for reasons of nurture rather than nature, most human seedlings remain dormant until expiration, meaning that they never emerge from their shells and their potential goes unrealized. This is the fate of mankind, but it doesn’t have to be the fate of you.
